Justin Gaethje vs Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the biggest fights in the UFC this year
UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko gave her prediction for the upcoming Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje clash.
Shevchenko is one of the greats in the MMA world and she has an incredible net worth of $5million in 2020.
Khabib is the current UFC Lightweight Champion, however, he takes on interim Lightweight Champion Gaethje at UFC 254.
This has been a fight in the making for a while ever since Gaethje defeated Tony Ferguson to win the interim title.
Ferguson was to face Khabib for the title but the Russian couldn’t travel to America due to the coronavirus pandemic.
That saw Gaethje come into the clash on short notice and Ferguson accepted the fight. Khabib and Ferguson are under the same management team, and this should be an interesting fight.
Khabib to bring out his wrestling skills
Shevchenko was speaking to Helen Yee as she is to defend her title at UFC 255. The Bullet was asked how this fight would go and she couldn’t confirm who was to win.
However, she believed it would be a great match and claimed it would be unpredictable too:
“I think it’s going to be a great fight. Justin showed himself so good in the last fight and he is like a tough person with very hard hits.
“Everything is so unique, the Tony-Justin fight was this way but Khabib is a different person and still like Tony against Khabib will be a totally different fight.
“Seeing Justin against Tony doesn’t mean it is going to be the same way as against Khabib, so it is so unpredictable.”
Khabib is known for his wrestling background and that is something that he will bring into the clash. Shevchenko also brought up that point as Khabib looks to keep his crown:
“I think Khabib will use a lot of his grappling, a lot of his wrestling and to show for Justin his ability to strike, he has to manage very good his wrestling.
“I know that he is doing great and we will just see.”
Khabib is undefeated in his MMA career and this will be a huge test of his abilities. This will also be his first fight since his father passed away, and that could affect the outcome of the clash.
Shevchenko, for her part, takes on Jennifer Maia at UFC 255 and claimed that her opponent deserved to win her last fight.
However, the Bullet also sounded a warning and said that she wouldn’t give any chances to Maia when the pair meet in November.
