Viviane Pereira has divulged that she was thrown out of the team by coach Marcos Batista, after she announced pregnancy with his child

It has been over a year of struggle for Invicta FC women’s strawweight Viviane Pereira.

The Brazilian who has not fought in over two years, has had a tumultuous 2020 after an unexpected pregnancy with the coach of Dragon Kombat Team – Marcos Batista.

In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Pereira revealed that Batista “kicked her out of the team” after revealing that she was pregnant with his child.

Pereira, in fact, gave birth to a son, Ravi Lucca, in December 2020. She went on to reveal that Batista has never helped her in any form since the birth of “their” son, before going on to reveal that they had been dating since she was only 15 (a whopping 12 years).

Here is what Pereira had to say:

“I didn’t expect this pregnancy. When I told [Batista] I was pregnant, he said right off the bat he didn’t want it and blocked us from everything, kicked me out of the team. He’s still avoiding judicial intimations, not showing up in court. It’s quite complicated. He never helped me or the baby.” [via BJPENN.com]

Pereira continued:

“I thought [motherhood] would go differently because I was with the father of the baby since I was 15. I began training with him when I was around 12, and we started dating when I was 15, and everything was fine, but then all of a sudden he changed completely. We spent almost 12 years together.” [via BJPENN.com]

Viviane Pereira last fought in June 2019

Viviane Pereira made her UFC debut on the 10th of December, 2016, in a split decision win over Valerie Letourneau.

She then followed it up with a win over Jamie Moyle, before going on a three-fight skid, that included a move to Invicta FC.

However, she began her road to recovery with a win over Alesha Zappitella at Invicta FC: Bennett vs Rodriguez II on the 7th of June, 2019.

COVID happened a couple of months later, and things have gone south for the Brazilian ever since.
