Pico levelled De Jesus with one punch and the fight could have been stopped there itself. De Jesus was out cold and folded in half almost as Pico went in for the kill.

The referee took a bit of time to get there to stop the fight and Pico also had some choice words after getting the decision.

However, this knockout caught the attention of the MMA world and the impact of Pico’s punch certainly was something great.

Pico creates history

The 24-year-old Pico picked up his third straight win and has finished off all the opponents. He is 7-3 in his MMA career and has always been with Bellator.

He started his career with a loss before going on a four-fight win streak. That was broken at Bellator 214 where he picked up his second loss and then got another defeat at Bellator 222.

However, he is now on a great streak and beat the likes of Daniel Carey and Solo Hatley Jr. Pico also created history by matching the most knockouts in Bellator Featherweight history:

De Jesus came into this clash with more fights under his belt, however, he was caught out with one punch.

The 30-year-old won his Bellator debut at 244, however, this was the ninth loss in his career. De Jesus has 13 wins in his MMA career, and it will be interesting to see what happens next with the American.

Pico is flying high and his knockout will be talked about for a while.
