(Watch) Alexander Volkanovski posts hilarious response after Henry Cejudo’s “overgrown midget” jab

Henry Cejudo had spoken about facing Alexander Volkanovski before retiring from MMA

Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Henry Cejudo took a swipe at Alexander Volkanovski and promised to come after him.

However, Cejudo retired from the UFC but claimed if he was to return, it would be for Volkanovski’s belt.

Cejudo’s comments came after Volkanovski appeared on Ariel Helwani’s show. The Australian is the current UFC Featherweight Champion and is set to face Max Holloway at UFC 251.

Volkanovski claimed he saw Cejudo as a contender from the day he dropped the belts. However, Cejudo had his own take on all this and suggested he would bet his Olympic Gold medal and a lot more while challenging Volkanovski.

Triple C has also made it a habit to target Volkanovski’s height during this rivalry, even though Cejudo is shorter than the Australian:

“If I ever comeback to MMA it’s going to be after your head your overgrown midget. I’d bet my Olympic Gold medal, my two belts and “my first girlfriend ever”, that you wouldn’t make it pass two rounds with Triple C!”, Cejudo posted on Twitter.

Volkanovski took this shot really well and posted a GIF of a small person trying to box some large men:

Triple C to return?

Fighting Volkanovski for the Featherweight title would allow Cejudo a chance of becoming a three-division UFC Champion.

He would create history doing so, and it will be interesting to see if Triple C does return to the Octagon. Moving to a new division doesn’t automatically give someone a shot at the title, and that is something that Dana White has to look into.

Ever since Cejudo retired, there has been no talk of him returning apart from fighting Volkanovski. Cejudo has appeared on several wrestling shows and there were talks of him taking up boxing too.

Volkanovski, for his part, has a tough clash against Holloway. However, facing Cejudo will certainly be an interesting fight.
