Amanda Nunes dominated Felicia Spencer in their UFC 250 fight
Brazilian superstar Amanda Nunes picked up another dominant win over Felicia Spencer at UFC 250.
The two-division champion dominated her Canadian opponent and never looked in danger of even losing a round.
Spencer tried her best but was absolutely destroyed over the five rounds. The former Invicta champion got her head damaged brutally, her mouth-guard was knocked out and her face was battered a ton too.
However, the Canadian continued fighting and did not quit. Herb Dean also called the doctors over in the fifth round as Spencer was bleeding profusely, but after a bit of a patch-up, she kept going.
That was great to see as she showed off her toughness and resilience, and Nunes seemed impressed too.
The Brazilian was happy at keeping the title but she also consoled her rival after the results. Nunes spoke a lot with Spencer after the clash and handed her the belt as a mark of respect.
Nunes is one of the best ever, and this moment highlights her class even after a dominant win. The Brazilian didn’t show off or take Spencer lightly, however, she was respectful of her rival and didn’t take her foot off the gas.
While Nunes might have kept something in the tank and not gone full-on at Spencer, credit has to be given to the Canadian for fighting on.
She proved how tough she was, and it will be interesting to see what is next for the former Invicta champion.
Nunes also spoke about the toughness of her rival in the post-fight interviews. There were calls from a few to call off the clash during the fourth and fifth rounds when Spencer was getting lit up.
However, the Canadian earned a few brownie points for just surviving against one of the greatest ever.
