Dustin Poirier used a ton of kicks to destroy the right leg of Conor McGregor and might have broken it at UFC 257

The main event of UFC 257 certainly proved to be a huge talking point as Dustin Poirier destroyed Conor McGregor in the second round.

The Diamond avenged his defeated to the Irishman from seven years back, and he used a smart technique in all this.

While McGregor had some tough punches for Poirier, the Diamond used a lot of kicks. He attacked McGregor’s right leg a lot in the fight and the Irishman was seen complaining after the first round.

McGregor was also seen hobbling and later in the second round he was knocked out. A photo shared how much damage was done to the leg of McGregor and there was more to come.

McGregor broken leg?

McGregor might have spoken a lot before the fight and claimed he was going to win, but he was magnanimous in defeat.

He lauded Poirier and even met him after the clash. McGregor claimed that Poirier could have broken his leg and he was hobbling a lot after the clash.

McGregor added that he would love to fight Poirier again, but the damage seems to have been done to his leg.

Even during the post fight press conference, McGregor was having trouble going up and down the steps and he was also using a crutch.

This was a brilliant performance from Poirier, and not many backed him to get the win. However, The Diamond is now firmly back in the title shot but isn’t keen on fighting Michael Chandler.

Chandler was excellent on his MMA debut as he destroyed Dan Hooker in the first round. Chandler is a former Bellator champion and it will be interesting to see who he faces next.
