(Watch) Dan Hooker sends hilarious apology after “crossing the line” regarding Henry Cejudo’s love life

Henry Cejudo recently became single again and that led to a bit of a social media war with Dan Hooker

New Zealand MMA star Dan Hooker posted an apology of sorts to former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo.

Hooker has started his own podcast in recent weeks and decided to clear the air regarding a meme that Cejudo had posted.

It all started with a jab at Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa facing off at UFC 253 and went all downhill from there.

“So I need to apologise to Henry Cejudo because I think I took it far.

Hooker explained that Cejudo had posted a picture of him with Paulo Costa and four koalas. Cejudo then photoshopped teammates Hooker, Kai Kara-France, Alexander Volkanovski and Adesanya on the faces of the animals.

Cejudo then joked that there was nothing to see there as two champs were present with four harmless koalas.

However, Hooker decided to respond to this

“I see Lord Farquaad and Ricky Martin about to drop the hottest mixtape of 2020. Everyone laughed but then he got back and commented, ‘Dan how much gold have you got?’

“I took it too far with my response as he deleted my comment quickly, so I need to apologise.”

Cejudo’s love life

Cejudo had recently spoken about being single and how he was ready to mingle. The former UFC star has left the promotion but that didn’t stop Hooker from aiming a shot at him:

“I said ‘Mount down all of your gold and try to buy your girlfriend back after she left your little a**, hombre’.”

Hooker then also joked about Cejudo’s height or the lack of it.

“I am putting my hands up. Henry Cejudo, I apologise, I took it too far. I was having a bit of banter but that one went over your head.

“You missed that one but it’s alright, you got the short end of the stick on that one, so I apologise.”

Hooker then added that he was going to apologise in person. Cejudo, for his part, wants to face off against Featherweight champion Volkanovski but he retired from the UFC.

Cejudo has spoken of getting back into the UFC but that depends on Dana White and setting up this title fight.
