Julija Stoliarenko was making weight for UFC Vegas 22 but the fighter ended up collapsing and fainting at the weigh in

UFC Vegas 22 had another scary moment as one UFC fighter ended up collapsing and fainting during the weigh ins.

This isn’t the first time such an incident has happened but Julija Stoliarenko was barely able to stand while she was trying to step onto the scale.

Stoliarenko needed a lot of medical help as she was stretchered out of the weigh in area too. The UFC star was able to weigh in but was unable to stand and had to be wheeled out.

This was a scary incident as weight cuts are brutal. The MMA world is filled with such incidents and weight cuts can go bad.

Many stars cut 10-15 pounds to make weight and some ever more. However, the UFC worked quickly to confirmed that this fight was cancelled.

Stoliarenko was to face Julia Avila but that fight will not happen now.

Stoliarenko, who is 9-4-2 in her MMA career was coming off a loss to Yana Kunitskaya. This was her first UFC fight and she would have been looking for a win to kick-start her UFC career.

The 27-year-old Lithuanian is a former Invicta Bantamweight champion. She did speak on her Instagram account about the issue and explained just why she collapsed.

While it was great to hear her out and also learn that she was doing fine, this was another example of the dangers of weight cuts.

Dustin Poirier, one of the greatest Lightweights in UFC history, also brought up his days of crazy weight cutting and how he never felt good.

He moved up a weight division and that has worked a treat for him. Many MMA stars cut crazy weight to just about make it to a lower division. They pile on the pounds after the weigh ins are done, and many fans were quick to call out this practice on social media.
