Francis Ngannou recorded a 20-second knockout at UFC 249

UFC Heavyweight star Francis Ngannou produced one of the performances of the night at UFC 249.

The French-Cameroonian was up against unbeaten Jairzinho Rozenstruik and beat his rival in 20 seconds.

Ngannou is known for finishing his opponents off quickly and he did the same to Rozenstruik. He came out all guns blazing and punched the daylights out of the Surinamese star.

The #3 ranked Heavyweight has his sights on the title, but he does have a sense of humour too.

Ngannou shared a video of his face-off against Rozenstruik a few days back. The UFC star joked that this last longer than his real fight:

“The face off last longer than the fight itself #africapower”

Ngannou might have joked about this but he certainly wasn’t doing that after the fight. The 33-year-old celebrated his win but went out to check on his downed opponent after the match.

Ready for another shot

Stipe Miocic is the current Heavyweight champion and there has been talk of a third match against former champion Daniel Cormier.

However, Ngannou’s performances cannot be overlooked, and he should be in the title running. Ngannou has been on fire in his last four matches, and he deserves another crack at the title.

The 33-year-old was defeated by Miocic in their previous meeting and it will be interesting to see when this could be set up.

Miocic has been out of action for a while with an eye injury. He sustained that in the win over Cormier and regained the belt.

Ngannou is one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC, and Dana White has a real problem on his hands regarding a heavyweight championship fight.
