Francis Ngannou produced one of the knockouts of UFC 249 against Jairzinho Rozenstruik

UFC Heavyweight star Francis Ngannou knocked out Jairzinho Rozenstruik in 20 seconds at UFC 249.

This was one of the big fights of the evening as the UFC returned to an empty arena. Rozenstruik came into the fight unbeaten in his MMA career with a 10-0 record, however, that was over in a flash.

Ngannou is one of the toughest hitters in the business and he caught Rozenstruik with a flurry of punches.

That caught out the challenger and he was downed rather early. He sat down as Ngannou kept putting in the blows before the referee brought it to a stop.

This was possibly another call from Ngannou of wanting the Heavyweight title, something that he has been asking for a while.

He is ranked #3 in the division and was watched by Daniel Cormier. Cormier wants to fight the champion Stipe Miocic but that could be in doubt after Ngannou’s win.

Checking up on the fallen star

Rozenstruik had spoken about beating up Ngannou, but his inexperience showed against the French-Cameroon star.

However, it was Ngannou that won a lot of praise for checking up on his rival as the doctors attended to him.

Ngannou stood beside the doctors and it was more than evident that the star had put in some tough blows on Rozenstruik.

The Surinamese star didn’t even stand for the post-match interviews and it was Joe Rogan who was speaking to Ngannou.

The 33-year-old recorded his ninth KO win since 2015, and it seems he is ready for a shot at the title.

Ngannou lost to Miocic for the title in 2018, one of three losses in his MMA career, and it will be interesting to see if he gets a shot soon.
