Giga Chikadze is known for his Giga kick and used that to get an impressive win over Cub Swanson
Georgian UFC star Giga Chikadze is on quite a rise and continued that in his fight against the legendary Cub Swanson.
Chikadze, 32, came into the UFC with a 7-2 record but hasn’t lost a fight in the promotion. That could have changed as he took on the more experienced Swanson.
However, Chikadze is known for his incredible kicks and brought it up again. Chikadze did his patented head kick before going for a body shot and that really hurt Swanson.
The experienced UFC star felt a lot of pain after the liver kick and he grimaced and groaned and Chikadze first went in for the kill.
The Georgian then backed out and hoped for the fight to end. However, Swanson wasn’t going to give up and went in for the kill before the referee stopped the fight.
There was a great moment after the fight as Swanson and Chikadze shared some respect between them but this was another big win in his UFC career.
The 32-year-old might have come late into the UFC but he has made a name for himself. He is on a six-fight win streak in the Featherweight division and is behind only a couple of other active stars in that race.
Chikadze also has some big names on his mind with Max Holloway and Calvin Kattar being called out. The Georgian certainly deserves a top fight in his next outing and it will be interesting to see who he gets next.
Chikadze needs another win or two to get a shot at the title. Holloway seems to be a little far away given he is to fight for the title but Kattar could be a decent option for the 32-year-old.
