Israel Adesanya brought out his dance moves after a dominant win over Paulo Costa at UFC 253
Israel Adesanya showed off his dance moves after dominating Paulo Costa at UFC 253.
This battle was for the UFC Middleweight title with a lot of bad blood between the pair. Adesanya, the champion, came in with a 19-0 MMA record while Costa was 13-0.
Many had predicted that it was going to be a close fight thanks to Costa’s power. However, Adesanya put on a performance as he picked apart his Brazilian rival.
Costa seemed to be dazzled by the movement and quickness of Adesanya. The Last Stylebender also targeted Costa’s left leg and turned it into a red stop sign with several kicks in the first round.
Adesanya also got some impressive body shots in while Costa just couldn’t get to grips with the champ.
The New Zealand-Nigerian star then connected with a vicious head kick that split Costa open.
With blood oozing down from his right eye, Costa seemed to be out of sorts. Adesanya sensed a win was near as he launched into a punch and then started a ground and pound game before the referee stopped him.
The Kiwi had warned Costa he was going to rip him to shreds and he surely did that. Adesanya was extremely pleased with the win too after months of taunts between the pair.
The Last Stylebender brought out his dances moves in the ring as he turned into Booker T.
Adesanya did share some words with his destroyed rival after the fight and asked who was next for him.
The Middleweight champion isn’t the most liked star in the UFC but he gets the job done. He also hit out at the haters by asking them if they were still “salty”.
This performance will go down as one of the greatest ever. Costa came undefeated in this fight but left with an aura of invincibility shattered.
The Brazilian looked leagues below Adesanya and the Stylebender had enough energy to do a couple of rounds of the Octagon and carry the dance moves to the locker room too.
Adesanya is now 20-0 in his MMA career and there seems to be no stopping the 31-year-old. It will be interesting to see who gets the next crack at the Stylebender but the champion seems to be getting better with each fight under his belt.
