Jacare Souza might have broken his arm at UFC 262 thanks to an armbar from Andre Muniz

Jacare Souza is one of the most experienced MMA stars on the UFC circuit but things aren’t going for him.

The 41-year-old Brazilian was coming into UFC 262 on a three-fight losing streak. However, it came against some top stars such as Jan Blachowicz and Kevin Holland.

The Brazilian was up against rising star Andre Muniz and some expected this fight to go the entire distance.

The fight was fast-paced but the ending came as a bit of a shock to everyone. Souza is a great BJJ star but he was caught out in an armbar by Muniz.

The Brazilian was unable to free himself from this and also seemed to have broken his arm in the hold. The snap could be heard by many in the packed Octagon and even Joe Rogan claimed that the Brazilian had broken his arm.

Jacare Souza’s time up in the UFC?

This was Muniz’s biggest win in the UFC and he is on a seven-fight win streak at the moment. He is now 21-4 in his MMA career and it will be interesting to see what is next for him.

This is also a big loss for Souza and he is now on a fought-fight losing streak. The loss to Kevin Holland was big but this was something else and more talks will revolve around the future of Souza.

The UFC has taken some big decisions in recent weeks when it comes to cutting experienced stars. Anderson Silva was the biggest casualty of all this. For now, all our thoughts go out to Souza and hopefully, the Brazilian makes a quick recovery and is back in action soon.
