Jack Hermansson got an impressive heel hook submission win over Kelvin Gastelum but was taken down by a coach

Jack ‘The Joker’ Hermansson picked up an impressive win over Kelvin Gastelum at the recent Fight Night event, but there were some weird celebrations after the clash.

Hermansson was seen sparring with a coach after the results were announced, and the coach actually brought the fighter to the ground.

The pair were seen laughing about it, and The Joker was asked about this after the clash. Hermansson claimed this was just some fun and games between his coach and him.

The pair seem to have a great relationship, and the middleweight certainly put himself into title contention with this win.

Hermansson looking for a title shot

The Swede moved to 21 wins and five losses in his MMA career. The win over Gastelum came in the first round after a smart heel hook and it was a surprisingly early end to the clash.

Nevertheless, The Joker played matchmaker later on. He suggested that he should face the winner of Darren Till vs Robert Whittaker and possibly get a shot at the title.

The UFC have confirmed that Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa will take place in September, and the winner of that fight should have another opponent.

Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa have a huge rivalry

Hermansson claimed that Jared Cannonier should fight the winner of Adesanya vs Costa. The Middleweight division certainly seems stacked at the moment, and it will be interesting to see how the title fight goes.

Adesanya is undefeated in his MMA career and so is Costa. The pair have been bickering for several months now, and we will get to see them in action soon.

Hermansson, for his part, looks great and hopefully, he gets a title shot sooner rather than later.
