Makhmud Muradov picked up an impressive TKO win over Andrew Sanchez but Jason Herzog almost got hammered

The second fight of the main card for UFC 257 had two huge heavy hitters in Andrew Sanchez and Makhmud Muradov.

The fight, as expected, saw both stars use some heavy hits. However, the major moment came in the final round after a wild right from Muradov caught hold of his rival.

Sanchez was extremely wobbly after this hit and the commentators were quick to say why it happened. The punch landed right on the ear or just behind it, and that messed up the equilibrium of Sanchez.

However, Muradov wasn’t done as he went in for the kill. Sanchez was by the cage and Muradov was sending heat seeking missiles onto his rival.

Sanchez was out and Jason Herzog, the referee, was quick to come in and stop the fight. Muradov was still in the motion of sending more punches in and almost connected with Herzog.

The job of a UFC referee is tough and they are often in the firing lines. They need to keep an eye on both fighters and try to keep them safe as the heavy hits and submissions come in.

A big win for Muradov

Muradov was pleased with his win and he was seen chatting up with Dana White. Apparently, the Uzbekistan star wanted to know why the UFC president wasn’t following him on social media.

Nevertheless, this was the 30-year-old’s 25th MMA win and he has just six losses to his name. Further, Muradov is on a 14-fight win streak and it will be interesting to see who he faces next in the division.

Muradov could be a name to keep an eye out for and the Middleweight has impressed many with this win.
