Jon Jones wants Heavyweight gold and recently shared another video of his weight lifting abilities

As seen at UFC 259, it is needed for a star to be close to the weight limit in a division to have a chance of winning.

For those not in the know, Israel Adesanya decided to fight at close to 200 pounds against Jan Blachowicz.

Adesanya was close to 20 pounds below Blachowicz on Fight Night and the size difference showed. Blachowicz kept his title and that led to a lot of discussion about weights and divisions.

Jon Jones also had his say as his former rival, Blachowicz, and current one, Adesanya clashed. Jones is moving up a division as he chases Heavyweight gold but he believed the super fight vs Adesanya was done after UFC 259.

Bones, a former Light Heavyweight champion and one of the greatest MMA talents ever, isn’t taking any risks with his move up a weight class.

The American has been working hard to add muscle and mass to his slight frame. However, Jones has shared several videos of himself training and the latest one featured an impressive feat of strength.

Jones has been lifting weights for a while and decided to do a zercher squad with 435 pounds of weights:

“First time doing Zercher Squats in over five years, I’m kind of liking this whole old man strength thing”

This really is impressive and it will be interesting to see how much more Jones can bulk up at Heavyweight.

He is expected to face the winner of Stipe Miocic vs Francis Ngannou as the pair meet at UFC 260.

Miocic is the current champion and one of the greatest Heavyweights ever but Ngannou has a thing or two to say too.

While Jones spent the entire Saturday taking shots at Adesanya, Ngannou wasn’t pleased at all.

The Heavyweight contender slammed Jones in a tweet while he lavished praise on Adesanya as well.

It will be interesting to see how Ngannou does in his rematch with Miocic. Ngannou lost the first clash against the champion but has been impressive ever since.

He is one of the most dangerous men in the UFC and could just become the new Heavyweight champion too.
