Jon Jones recently shared a video of him squatting a lot of weights
UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has been working hard despite not having a fight on the horizon.
His last match was a win over Dominick Reyes as he kept the title. However, that hasn’t stopped the American from putting in the work in training.
Jones is regarded as the best pound for pound MMA fighter ever, and he posted an old video of doing some squats as he tried to lose some weight.

One fan couldn’t believe that Jones was squatting 315 pounds. However, the UFC Champion corrected the fan and claimed he used to squat and incredible 500 pounds at one time.
Jones also said that he was planning to do the same soon:
“That’s actually 335 and my Max used to be 500lbs. The plan is to get back there within the next few months.”
Jones has done a lot of work during the coronavirus pandemic. While the UFC has restarted its action in recent weeks, Jones has taken time to hone his hunting skills too.
A big fight up for Jones?
There have been calls for some of the bigger names to face Jones outside the current division. Israel Adesanya and Jones certainly have a heated rivalry, but Izzy would have to move up a division to fight Bones.
Similarly, he has also fought Daniel Cormier when his rival was in the Light Heavyweight division.
However, Jones has decided to amp it up in recent weeks as he called out Francis Ngannou. Ngannou was in a recent UFC event as he defeated Jairzinho Rozenstruik in less than 20 seconds.
Ngannou wants to fight for the Heavyweight title but that seems to be a battle between Cormier and the champion Stipe Miocic.
It will be interesting to see if Jones can make weight for the heavyweight division. If he does, Jones vs Ngannou would be one of the epic battles of the year.
