Julian Marquez got an impressive win via an anaconda choke on Maki Pitolo but he also called out Miley Cyrus after UFC 258
Julian Marquez still seems to be in search of a Valentine as he called out Miley Cyrus after his UFC 258 win.
However, it didn’t seem like the Cuban Missile Crisis was going to lose to Maki Pitolo. Pitolo easily won the first two rounds and just needed to see out the final round.
Marquez’s coach told him that he needed a big finish in the third round and he provided that. The Missile Crisis seemed possessed as he tried to get a big KO win and landed some heavy hits.
He then was able to get a surprise submission thanks to an anaconda choke and that surprised a lot of people.
While this was Marquez’s first fight in almost three years, he didn’t waste his time on the microphone. He first put up a bizarre request of asking for a lot more noise from certain stadiums and then also wanted to call someone out.
Normally, a UFC star would call out another rival for his next fight. Joe Rogan was more than happy to allow Marquez to continue speaking but the UFC star called out one of the biggest musicians in the world.
He was quick to call out Miley Cyrus, the American popstar, and wanted her to be his Valentine.
Julian Marquez getting back to winning ways
The 30-year-old Marquez has had to wait a long time to get back to winning ways. He was 7-2 coming in this fight and had lost his last one to Alessio Di Chirico.
That took place in 2018 and Marquez also had a fight against Saparbeg Safarov cancelled in late 2020.
However, this was a huge win for him and took his record to 8-2. The Cuban Missile Crisis is back and it will be interesting to see if he does get that date with Miley Cyrus.
Cyrus did reply to Marquez and she wished him a Valentine’s Day too. She also had one request from the UFC star, and it was a little weird one:
“Shave an MC into your chest hair and I am YOURS
“Happy VDay and Congrats my love!”
