Khabib Nurmagomedov was sitting next to Dana White and had the best seats in the house to see Kevin Holland vs Derek Brunson

The latest UFC Fight Night event had a big clash of Kevin Holland vs Derek Brunson and Khabib Nurmagomedov was there to see it all.

The former UFC Lightweight Champion, who retired recently, was sitting next to Dana White the entire night.

Khabib also shared a live broadcast from the UFC Apex as he answered several questions on Instagram. However, he also had some fun on the night thanks to Holland.

The rising UFC Middleweight was coming off the back of five wins in 2020. Not only that, Holland has a nickname of Big Mouth too as he speaks a lot of trash during his fights.

The American was at it again, this time versus Brunson, and he needed some help after round 1. Brunson used a lot of takedowns and clinches to dominate the rising star and Holland went back to his corner and called out Khabib.

He kept calling him “brother” and even used the “smash” phrase. Khabib could be seen laughing but he decided not to coach Holland too much in between rounds.

Khabib might have given up the gloves but he is coaching people full time now. The Eagle took up that role in Islam Makhachev’s win over Drew Dober, but even with some chats with Khabib, Holland didn’t fare too well in this outing.

Derek Brunson gets a huge win over Kevin Holland

Holland failed to deal with Brunson’s grappling and takedowns. Brunson dominated his rival and picked up an impressive win too, even though he was the underdog.

This proved that the 37-year-old still had a lot in his tank. Brunson called out Paulo Costa next and it will be interesting what is next for him.

Holland, for his part, missed out on a chance to impress. He came off the back of five great wins in 2020 but it seemed he was too busy talking trash and keeping up with his Big Mouth nickname.
