Laura Sanko didn’t have a long MMA career but she hasn’t stopped training one bit
Former Invicta fighter and MMA star Laura Sanko didn’t look out of place as she decided to train inside the Octagon.
The 37-year-old won her only professional fight in Invicta when she defeated Cassie Robb back in 2013. However, she had to take time off while starting a family with her husband, and the birth of her child cut short her MMA career.
Nevertheless, Sanko is still in and around the MMA circuit. She has hosted several MMA shows and events, include Dana White’s Contender Series.
The 37-year-old still is in great shape and recently shared a video of her work in the Octagon.
While this featured some punches and kicks, Sanko’s movement inside the Octagon was pretty good. This wasn’t at the same intensity levels as those of top fights, but Sanko claimed she almost died while going through the rounds:
While Sanko is also a reporter for ESPN thanks to the UFC, it could have been a very different career for her.
The 37-year-old took up the broadcasting career with no prior experience or courses, but she has done a brilliant job of it.
However, the former Atomweight star was great in the amateur circuit too and held a 4-1 record before turning professional.
Sanko might not be starring inside the Octagon these days but she is doing some great work outside of it. She seems to be training well and keeping fight, however, it is unlikely we will see her back in MMA action anytime soon.
