Matt Wiman was out and possibly left with a concussion after the first round slam from Jordan Leavitt

The first fight of the main card at UFC Las Vegas 16 left a lot of people talking. The undefeated Jordan Leavitt made his UFC debut and impressed many with his performance.

Leavitt is called ‘The Monkey King’ and he didn’t have to do a lot of madness in the Octagon. He took on MMA veteran Matt Wiman and needed just 27 seconds to get the win.

Leavitt caught hold of his opponent, carried him and then slammed him down after just 27 seconds. Wiman was out cold and he wasn’t responding in a scary moment. The commentators from the UFC also believed that the UFC veteran had a concussion and they brought up how slams are legal in the UFC but hitting behind the head isn’t.

Replays confirmed that Wiman’s head had slammed onto the Matt and the referee rushed in to stop the battle.

Respect and madness after the fight

Leavitt came into the fight with a lot of respect for his rival, and that was there to see after the results.

The slam is a powerful but dangerous move in the world of MMA and this was just the 12th such win in the history of the promotion.
