Rafael Fiziev defeated Marc Diakiese in an incredible bout at UFC Fight Night 172

Rafael Fiziev put on a show and a half as he defeated Marc Diakiese at UFC Fight Night: Benavidez vs Figueiredo 2.

While the main event between Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo will be a talking point for many as the Flyweight champion was decided.

Fiziev put on a great show as his rival also threw in a few punches. However, it was Fiziev who got the win in the end via a unanimous decision.

The 27-year-old also turned into Neo from the Matrix as he put in some quality dodges to avoid Diakiese’s kicks.

The UFC hands out $50,000 bonuses both stars involved in the Fight of the Night with Fiziev and Diakiese getting it for this event.

Fiziev was in his hotel room when this award was confirmed, and he was ecstatic with the additional fight money.

The UFC star also broke into tears and he screamed out several times during the short video.

UFC’s money problems

Many fans commented on Fiziev’s reaction and suggested that this is a problem with the UFC. Jon Jones, Jorge Masvidal and a few others have spoken about the UFC not paying their fighters the right amount of money.

A few stars have retired from the promotion due to financial issues while UFC legend Mark Hunt has hit out at Dana White since leaving them.

All this would not be on the mind of Fiziev as he put in a great performance. It will be interesting to see what is next for the 27-year-old.

Ataman, as he is called, has his best years ahead of him and he could win a few more such awards in the coming years.
