Raphael Assuncao fell off his chair after getting knocked out cold by Cody Garbrandt at UFC 250
Former UFC Bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt knocked out Raphael Assuncao in sensational fashion at UFC 250.
This was the co-main event of the card and it featured the more experienced Assuncao taking on Garbrandt.
The fight was all Garbrandt as he was moving quickly and keeping the Brazilian at bay. Assuncao had some hits on Garbrandt, but those didn’t really trouble the former champion.
The incredible moment of the fight came at the end of the second round. Just as the horn was to sound, Garbrandt ducked down and unleashed an incredible punch.
He just missed Assuncao’s punch and landed his right on the chin. Garbrandt was keeping his eye on the Brazilian, but right after connecting, Assuncao was out.
The horn blew and the referee had to call off the fight as Garbrandt celebrated. Assuncao was completely out and even when the medical staff came, he was all wobbly.

He was put on a stool, but that wasn’t enough as he seemed to be out still. The Brazilian fell off the chair and had to be put on the mat as the medics worked on him.

Garbrandt looking for the title too
The American did check on his opponent after the incredible knockout, and Assuncao also was smiling after the loss.
Garbrandt was speaking to Joe Rogan after the fight and claimed he wanted the Bantamweight title too. The division seems stacked at the moment after Aljamain Sterling also won his clash on the same card.
It will be interesting to see who picks up the title, especially after Henry Cejudo vacated his crown and retired from the game.
Garbrandt should be back in the running, and this knockout will be remembered for a long-time.
