Sean O’Malley got a huge KO win over Thomas Almeida at UFC 260

Sean O’Malley is making it a bit of a habit to get a viral KO or two. Most of his recent fights have ended quickly and Sugar was keen on getting a KO win against Thomas Almeida at UFC 260.

It seemed that O’Malley would get his wish early in the first round. He rocked Almeida hard but decided not to go for the kill.

Sugar is known for his walk off KOs and thought he had done enough to finish Almeida. However, the referee continued this fight and O’Malley looked a little out of sorts.

O’Malley could have lost focus after this event but he kept on going. Sugar then went for the kill in the final round and he got his man then.

However, his follow up shot was something else. Hitting a downed opponent with such force left many wincing. O’Malley didn’t care though. He celebrated the win wildly by shooting hoops and even bringing up the wobbly legs:

This was possibly one of the hardest punches that have been thrown in the year. While O’Malley certainly got the job done, he had a lot of respect for his rival after the fight.

Sugar praised Almeida for being a tough fighter but there was another huge punch later on in the card.

Francis Ngannou outshines Sean O’Malley in KO power

Francis Ngannou might be the most dangerous man in the UFC and he proved it in the main event of UFC 260.

He destroyed Stipe Miocic, the champion, and won his first UFC title. The UFC Heavyweight also landed a dangerous punch to close out the fight and this was, obviously, harder than O’Malley’s.

Nevertheless, these were two excellent finishes and you could say that O’Malley got two KOs in his fight but only one of them counted.

The Sugar show is back and it will be interesting to see what is next for him.
