Spike Carlyle vs Billy Quarantillo was one of the fights of UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns

The UFC was back with Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns but there was a great moment in the Spike Carlyle vs Billy Quarantillo clash.

This was one of the fights on the main card and was a catch weight fight. Carlyle, who is known as the Alpha Ginger, got his bearings and timing all wrong early on.

The incident took place close to the end of a round where Carlyle was on top of his opponent. However, Carlyle decided to walk away from the fight and was possibly going to his corner. The round wasn’t finished and Quarantillo took the chance to get up and land a punch at the retreating Carlyle.

The commentators were heard laughing as Carlyle also saw the funny side of things. Fortunately for the 27-year-old, the horn for the end of the round sounded just after he got dropped.

You can hear his corner shout out instructions that the round wasn’t over, but the Alpha Ginger didn’t seem to get the message.

Carlyle was seen laughing a bit as the round ended, but this goes down as one of the weirdest things to have happened in the Octagon recently.
