Tanner Boser picked up an impressive knockout win at UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs Hooker
Tanner Boser vs Philipe Lins was one of the fights on the prelim card at UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs Hooker.
The 28-year-old Boser picked up the win in the first round thanks to an impressive flurry of punches. He was able to knockout his rival and had a lot to celebrate.
Boser first rocked Lins with a few punches and then went in for the kill in impressive fashion. This was one of two knockouts on the night and this was just the third UFC fight of his career.
Boser certainly showed off his capabilities in the Octagon, however, he wasn’t done yet for the night.
Boser also called out another Heavyweight on the card. It was Maurice Greene, who also picked up a win on the night.
Greene got the better of Gian Villante on the main card via an arm-triangle choke. It was an impressive win for Greene and he was emotional after the win as he would be able to move his family now.
Greene also accepted the challenge from Boser and this could be set up for UFC Fight Island. The UFC has many fights planned for this location, and it will be interesting to see if they can schedule this.
Greene and Boser are two heavy-hitters and this could be an all-out brawl. The Canadian, Boser, moved up to 18 wins in his MMA career.
He now holds an MMA record of 18 wins, six losses and one no-contest. Boser is also a former Unified MMA heavyweight champion and defended that title several times before coming to the UFC.
The main fight of the card was also fantastic with Dustin Poirier picking up an impressive win over Dan Hooker.
