Tyson Nam picked up his first UFC win with an incredible knockout over Zarrukh Adashev
UFC star Tyson Nam had one of the knockouts of the night against Zarrukh Adashev at UFC Las Vegas 2.
Nam, who was in his third UFC bout, got the win despite getting kicked hard in the first round. The 36-year-old American was fighting on the prelim card but picked up the Performance of the Night award too.
Adashev came overweight for the clash and the fight went ahead after he was fined for missing weight. However, that didn’t affect Nam and he absorbed an incredible kick before knocking out his rival.
Adashev was down and out as the referee moved in to call off the fight. His rival did get one more hit in before the referee came in.
Nam certainly enjoyed the win, which came after just 32 seconds of the first round.
Nam had lost his first two UFC fights, but this win will be remembered for a long time.
Nam had fought in several other promotions before getting into the UFC in 2019. This was his 19th win in his MMA career while he also has 11 losses.
Nam’s win was one of the quickest finishes we have seen recently, but he wasn’t the only one who ended his night early.
Christian Aguilera and Julia Avila also won their prelim card fights in the first round, before the first minute even ended.
Two other fights on the main card ended in the first round itself. Mariya Agapova and Marvin Vettori got the impressive wins while the main event saw a surprise.
Cynthia Calvillo defeated the #1 Flyweight contender Jessica Eye, and she could be in the running for a shot at the title too.
