“We are done talking” – Chael Sonnen says beating this UFC legend will make Khabib Nurmagomedov the greatest ever

Khabib Nurmagomedov is considered as the greatest ever but he needs to beat one more star for that honour

The world still is unsure if Khabib Nurmagomedov will ever make a return to MMA.

The Russian defeated Justin Gaethje in his last fight while defending his title. He then shocked the world by announcing his retirement after he made a promise to his mother.

Khabib’s father also passed away earlier in the year and that could have played a role in the decision.

Nevertheless, Khabib might be out of the UFC but Dana White is hopeful the Russian will be back for a 30th fight.

That was something Khabib’s father wanted to see and a 30-0 record for the current UFC Lightweight champion could just be the right deal to get him back.

Khabib has also been considered as one of the best ever but Chael Sonnen believes beating one person should end the debate.

Khabib vs GSP

Georges St-Pierre has been linked with the super fight against Khabib, and Sonnen claimed beating the Canadian will end the debate of the GOAT.

Jon Jones has also thrown his hand into it but Khabib vs GSP could decide who the best ever is:

“You want to be the greatest of all-time? Beat Georges St-Pierre.

“They will put you are the greatest of all-time. Particularly if you do at 155 pounds.”

Sonnen added that beating GSP in his own weight class is something great and the Canadian is still training, and that could mean something is up.

He brought up how people compare the likes of LeBron James with Michael Jordan but claimed the MMA goat debate will end with GSP vs Khabib:

“If you get Khabib and Georges together and Khabib gets the jump, we are all done talking.”
