Conor McGregor has not fought for a while but what is his last fight date?

Conor McGregor is one of the biggest names in the UFC world. The former double champion is one reason why MMA is extremely popular in the world, and the Irishman is one of the most popular stars ever.

McGregor has often featured on top earning charts despite fighting once or twice a year. However, his last fight date was on 10 July 2021. This was his third clash against Dustin Poirier. McGregor had won the first meeting at UFC 178, however, the next two outings weren’t great.

After defeating Donald Cerrone in his comeback fight bout the infamous UFC 229 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, Poirier was the Irishman’s target.

They met for the second time at UFC 257 on 10 July 2021 but the Irishman lost in the second round after a flurry of punches from The Diamond.

McGregor wasn’t done, though. A trilogy with Poirier was set up at UFC 264 in Las Vegas. This fight was going well for McGregor until he picked up a horrible leg injury.

The Irishman’s ankle broke and the fight was called off due to a doctor’s stoppage. McGregor was adamant that this would be called a doctor’s stoppage but records show it was a TKO from Poirier.

When is Conor McGregor’s next fight?

Conor McGregor has not fought since 2021 since he has been recovering from his leg break. However, he was made one of the coaches for the TUF 31 season alongside Michael Chandler.

While there always is a fight between the two captains after the show or on the finale, nothing much has been confirmed regarding McGregor vs Chandler.

The pair have traded barbs on social media, but the date is yet to be finalised.

There have been doubts about McGregor returning to fighting given he has been away for so long and hasn’t been tested by USADA as well.

There aren’t many cards left in 2023, and it will be interesting to see if the pair fight at the end of the year or we have to wait till 2024 for a McGregor return.
