UFC 248 saw some great fights but also saw Brian Ortega slap Jay Park
South Korean rapper Jay Park was involved in a bit of a scuffle at UFC 248 as he got a slap from Brian Ortega.
The No.2 ranked featherweight slapped the rapper, who is also the translator for Korean Zombie Chang Sung Jung.
It seems the beef between the two UFC fighters has been going on since Jung’s translator claimed that Ortega ducked a fight:
“It doesn’t matter (if it’s Max) Holloway, (Alexander) Volkanovski, or Ortega.
“But Ortega already ducked (me) once. (I) don’t need to fight a fighter that’s already ducked (me) one time.”
Ortega then cleared the air with Jung but took a shot at Park, and also commented on a post:
“Jay Park welcome to the fight game don’t be surprised if I slap the **** out of you when I see you. Having an injury and ducking are 2 different things.”
It seems that he got the chance to deal with Park as the South Korean UFC star visited a restroom.
The UFC star was escorted from the premises and Dane White also claimed that a clash took place:
“Ortega and Zombie [Park] got into a fight, which is completely unlike both of their personalities.
“Zombie doesn’t speak English, I don’t know what the hell he could have said.”
Ortega hasn’t fought in the UFC since his 2018 December loss to Max Holloway. Ortega was scheduled to face Chan Sung Jung, on 21 December 2019 but pulled out.
The Zombie didn’t take things lightly and posted on Instagram. Jung blasted Ortega and claimed they sat a few metres apart, but he decided to attack a civilian.

Interesting bouts at UFC 248
Zhang Weili and Israel Adesanya kept their respective titles in contrasting fashion at UFC 248.
Weili was against Joanna Jedrzejczyk and the Chinese kept her title after a battle for the ages.
Both women put on a show that will be talked about forever while Adesanya’s fight against Yoel Romero was poor, to say the least.
Romero guarded up and Adesanya didn’t really push hard for the fight. Both fighters acted like it was a chess game and waited for the other to make the move. However, neither did and in the end, the Nigerian/Kiwi kept hold of his crown.
