Xiaonan is undefeated in her last 10 outings and is on a five-fight win streak and sounded confident ahead of her next fight. Gadelha is on a two-fight win streak and ranked #4 in the Strawweight division, however, Xiaonan highlighted one advantage she had over her Brazilian rival.

“My speed. I am very fast. I am going to use my speed to beat her.”

The 31-year-old Chinese star was speaking to Helen Yee, and she also provided a prediction of how quickly the fight would end.

“I hope in two rounds. KO, TKO, is what I am hoping for.”

Big plans for the future

While Xiaonan is ranked #8 in the Strawweight division, she had big plans for the future. The Chinese star was confident of her win and believe she should get a title shot next.

“If I beat her, I hope I will challenge for the title. I will definitely request Dana White to arrange a title fight.”

The 31-year-old had some issues with the training camp as she had to move about due to the pandemic. Further, this fight was originally set to feature on UFC 253 but a knee injury to Gadelha moved the fight to UFC Fight Night 182.

Xiaonan has an MMA record of 12 wins, one loss and one no contest. Her only loss came in her third fight against Karina Hallinan, and she has not looked back since.

The 31-year-old has had to shift camps several times due to the coronavirus outbreak, but that doesn’t seem to be affecting her results.

Gadelha should be a big test for the Chinese star, and it will be interesting to see how she does on Saturday.
