Yoel Romero recently signed with Bellator but also opened a gym recently

Former UFC star Yoel Romero doesn’t seem to be too upset over his release from the promotion as he launched a new gym recently.

The Soldier of God, who remains one of the biggest names in MMA, ended up signing for Bellator after being cut by the UFC.

Romero was on the end of a few losses during the tail-end of his UFC career, but he could go for gold at Bellator.

Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson was the other big surprise signing from Bellator despite hinting that he would return to the UFC.

Nevertheless, the Soldier of God was happy to start his own gym and he had some help from a couple of MMA stars as well.

Romero posted a couple of updates regarding his gym and confirmed that many from Bellator had come to celebrate the new venture from Romero.

Undefeated Bellator star, Valerie Loureda, was also present at the gym while Jorge Masvidal, one of the biggest UFC stars was pictured alongside Romero.

This seems to be another venture for the Soldier of God but the 43-year-old doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon.

It is to be seen who his first opponent in Bellator could be. However, a fight against Rumble Johnson could be one of the big talking points in MMA next year.

Bellator has signed some big stars in recent months and they have put on a few good shows. The UFC has made some roster cuts in recent weeks and it will be interesting to see if any future cuts end up joining rival promotions.
