Conor McGregor wasn’t impressed by Khabib Nurmagomedov’s MMA record after a short interview
Khabib Nurmagomedov provided a mini interview to Megan Olivi after the Derek Brunson vs Kevin Holland fight.
The Eagle was sitting beside Dana White and enjoying the fight, and was even asked for advice from Holland during his battle.
Khabib is enjoying his retired career and even opened up on his future plans. That includes spending time with his family and more.
The Russian also brought up his bear training during his time with his father. However, Khabib speaking about his UFC and MMA record and not having to prove anything left one star asking for more.
The Russian has an MMA record of 29-0 and a UFC record of 13-0. Very few stars can boast about 29 wins in MMA let along being undefeated in their career.
However, Conor McGregor brought up Khabib’s record, more accurately, the Russian’s finishing record.
“8 ko/tko across 30 fights = zero power.
“Don’t forget it teddy bear.”
McGregor is a little incorrect since Khabib never got his 30th fight. However, you cannot argue with the Russian’s record.
He might not have had a lot of powerful finishes but he did finish a lot of his opponents.
McGregor and Khabib met at UFC 229 and it was the Russian who came out on top. This was a rivalry that reached breaking point before and after the fight, and the pair still seem to be hitting out at each other.
Khabib might not have had many TKOs in his career but he does have 11 submission wins in his 29 bouts.
Further, Khabib doesn’t have a single split decision win in his career. All of his 10 decision wins have been unanimous and he has dominated most of his rivals in the Octagon.
Khabib might be retired and done with fighting but his legacy lives on. The Russian now seems to be enjoying coaching and will impart his vast knowledge to the next batch of rising stars.
