UFC lightweight GOAT Khabib Nurmagomedov is backed by a legion of sponsors
Khabib Nurmagomedov has been a busy man since announcing his retirement from the sport of mixed martial arts in October 2020, and then officially confirmed it in March 2021.
‘The Eagle’ has taken up coaching as a profession, is already the owner of a promotion (Eagle Fighting Championship), and is also teasing a possible switch to football.
The Dagestani bought the Gorilla Fighting Championship in December 2020, and renamed it to Eagle Fighting Championship. The promotion has been going strong under Khabib’s ownership.
The Russian was recently in Almaty, Kazakhstan for Eagle FC’s latest event – EAGLE FC 37. The event concluded this weekend, and was a big hit.
During his time there, Khabib had stopped by one of the main sponsors of his team – Alhadaya. It is a healthcare brand primarily focusing on providing quality cumin oil and Omega-3 oils.
Taking to Instagram, Khabib wrote:
“While I was in Almaty, I stopped by one of the main sponsors of our team for the last three years. thank you guys.”
Khabib Nurmagomedov opens up on bringing his children up
Khabib is a man of values. The Russian is seen as an example by many, for his elite virtues and integrity.
Prior to EAGLE FC 37, Khabib sat down with Russian reporters from RT Sport and answered several questions.
When asked about bringing his children up, Khabib said:
“I- as a Muslim- do my best to raise my kids as true Muslims. Not just in terms of ethnicity- because their parents are Muslims, but in terms of their beliefs. They should understand what that means to be a Muslim- according to Islam. I think, even in this hall there are representatives of different religions and nationalities. My religion is Islam, I am Muslim and I want my kids to be Muslim as well. Monotheists, those are the fundamentals we believe in.” [RT Sport YouTube]
Khabib is currently preparing for a packed July, since a lot of his fellow Dagestanis are fighting across different MMA promotions.
