UFC Vegas 16 results: This UFC card was another event affected by Covid-19. Jack Hermansson was to face Kevin Holland but Trail Blazer contracted the virus.
However, the UFC worked quickly to land Marvin Vettori in the main event. Vettori and Hermansson are both vying for a title shot in the Middleweight division and this was set to be a brilliant fight.
There were some other big names and rising stars on the card too. Jordan Leavitt came into this fight undefeated in his career but this was his UFC debut.
Ovince Saint Preux, a veteran in MMA, also was on the card and here are the results from UFC Vegas 16:
Prelim card
Jake Collier beats Gian Villante – Decision (unanimous)
The first fight of the night went the distance with Jake Collier dominating his opponent.
Ilia Topuria beats Damon Jackson – KO (punch)
Ilia Topuria continued to impress in the UFC with a KO win over Damon Jackson.
Louis Smolka beats Jose Alberto Quinonez – TKO (punches)
The second straight fight to end quickly, this time, it was Louis Smolka getting the win.
Main card
Jordan Leavitt beats Matt Wiman – KO (slam)
The first fight of the main card ended after 27 seconds thanks to a vicious slam from Jordan Leavitt.
Roman Dolidze beats John Allan Arte – Decision (split)
There was some controversy in this result as Roman Dolidze dominated his rival but was given a split decision win.
Gabriel Benitez beats Justin Jaynes – TKO (knee)
Justin Jaynes was on the end of a knee to the body in the first round as Gabriel Benitez got the win.
Jamahal Hill beats Ovince Saint Preux – TKO (punches)
Jamahal Hill got the better of the veteran thanks to several punches in the second round.
Marvin Vettori beats Jack Hermansson – Decision (unanimous)
The main event saw an incredible five-round bout with Marvin Vettori getting the win over Jack Hermansson.
