Jan Blachowicz walked out to the theme of The Elder Scrolls Skyrim theme music for his fight against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 282. In hindsight, the song perfectly captured the tension of the fight and set the stage for the 205-pound battle.
Those who keep up with Bachowicz know that he is a dedicated gamer. In an interview, he also stated that he enjoys CD Projekt Red’s literature and video games. The year 2021 saw his addition to the Acer Predator brand ambassador team.
Blachowicz is a huge fan of the game and has expressed his love for the series several times in the past.
Skyrim has been one of the most popular games of the last decade and probably one of the most significant titles in the gaming industry. Bethesda made sure to relaunch the game for numerous platforms and add as much material to it as possible. The Elder Scrolls VI, however, was announced in 2018, therefore development on it should be underway at this time.
Few could have expected The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s immense popularity over the past decade. Due to Bethesda’s extraordinary attention to detail and tireless effort, the fifth entry of a perennially popular brand became a game that defined an entire decade.
Skyrim’s status as one of the best games has not, however, been unchallenged. Its popularity has been eroded by a number of other titles, some of which have also highlighted its worst shortcomings in comparison to other similar titles. While it is undeniably a terrific game, there are a few other titles that pose a formidable challenge for the game of the decade.
Jan Blachowicz defends his comments following split draw with Magomed Ankalaev
This past Saturday, the former light-heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz fought Magomed Ankalaev for the vacant title. Blachowicz and Ankalaev were granted the opportunity because former champion Jiri Prochazka relinquished the belt due to a shoulder ailment that prevented him from competing against Glover Teixeira.
Unluckily for both competitors, the judges awarded their fight a split draw, leaving Ankalaev so unhappy that he threatened to never fight in Las Vegas again. During Ankalaev’s post-fight address, a dejected Blachowicz approached and suggested that they award the championship to Ankalaev. President of the UFC Dana White afterwards described the main event as “awful.”
On Monday, Blachowicz changed his tune, defending the contest and retracting his claim that he lost. He took to Twitter to express his afterthoughts:
“Let me reiterate something. First — I honestly don’t think the fight was terrible at all. Second — I don’t feel I’ve won but neither that I lost. A draw was fair.“
“End result — One dude cried and talked about his supposed injuries, another dude showed that honor can be and still is upheld in this game. I’m glad the fans see it and appreciate it for what it is.”
