A trailer for a new football game called UFL was released at the Gamescom event. Here is everything that we know so far.
The football video game industry has been dominated by FIFA and PES, now eFootball. But now we have a new competitor in this genre. Strikerz Inc, the team behind UFL released a trailer of the gaming at the Gamescom event on August 25.
It was a glimpse of what the game would offer. They specifically mentioned that the game will be ‘free to play’ and also ‘fair to play.’ This is in response to EA’s strategy of lootboxes that encourages players to spend money to get better stats to play. After the teaser, the developers said that their main focus would be on skill based gameplay. This is a refreshing take on the football video game genre.
According to current data, the football game will be available on consoles only. Strikerz Inc has announced that the game will be available on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One and the Xbox Series X|S. They have said that their primary focus will be on Xbox and Playstation consoles but they are closely considering bringing the game to PC.
According to the teaser trailer released at the Gamescom event, the game will be coming soon. The developers have not provided a fixed date or period for the release of the game. FIFA 22 and eFootball will be released this fall. So there are some rumours that the game will release around that time.
West Ham United has been announced as one of the licensee clubs for UFL. They have also partnered with FIFPRO, which is the world’s largest representative organization for over 65,000 professional football players.
They have also partnered with InStat, a performance analysis company, that will provide detailed data and up-to-date stats for each player. This will bring some accurate data to the game system. We will have to wait and see as Strikerz Inc. reveals more information about their new game.
UFL has been in development since 2016. So fans are excited for this new football game releasing soon.
