Argentina’s Nadia Podoroska will have her task cut out when she faces world No. 4, Caroline Garcia, in the group stage of the United Cup on Friday.

The 29-year-old also won her second doubles Grand Slam title by winning the doubles event at the French Open alongside Kristina Mladenovic. The experienced campaigner did not have a great campaign as she lost to Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina in straight sets. Her only win came against Paula Badosa.
Nadia Podoroska
The 25-year-old is currently ranked 195 in the world. She played 35 matches on the tour in 2022. Out of those matches, she won 21 and lost 14. Podoroska returned to action at the Wimbledon qualifiers after ten months of inactivity. She was ousted in the second round of qualifying.
Her last tournament in 2022 was the WTA 125 event in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She lost to the second seed, Danka Koviniv, in straight sets in the round of 16. Her best result in 2022 came at the Chennai Open, where she made it to the semis, but eventually lost to Linda Fruhvirtova.
