On the other hand, Parrizas Diaz will be disappointed as she knows she is a better player than what the scoreline suggests.
The Spanish veteran will be hoping to bounce back strongly. The former world No. 45 managed to reach the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time at the 2022 Australian Open. She would be aiming for a good run at the first Grand Slam event of the year and a few wins in the United Cup will do her confidence a world of good.
Zoe Hives
The 26-year-old also comes into this encounter on the back of a loss against Katie Swan in the first match. However, Hives couldn’t manage to win a set against the talented Briton. The match ended 6-4, 6-3 as the fans in Sydney witness a one-sided affair.
Hives returned to the professional circuit in 2022 after over three years as she competed in the qualifiers of the Australian Open. She lost 11 matches in the year while having won just 5.
