The 19-year-old won his first title of 2022 at the Rio Open. He followed it up with another win at the Miami Open. The great run of form continued in the Barcelona Open where he dominated his matches and notched up another championship win. The fourth title he won this year till now came at the Madrid Open.
Alcaraz recently lost two finals at the German Open and the Croatia Open. He was ousted in the first round of the Canadian Open. At the recently concluded Cincinnati Masters, Alcaraz lost in the quarterfinal against Cameron Norrie.
Sebastian Baez
The Argentine won the Estoril Open by defeating Frances Tiafoe in the final. He reached the finals of the Cincinnati Open and the Swedish Open. The 21-year-old also received setbacks in various tournaments as he was ousted in the first rounds.
His fans will be concerned with the fact that Baez failed to win his first match in the last five tournaments he has played in. At the Cincinnati Masters, Baez lost to Taylor Fritz in straight sets. He is all set to make his debut in the US Open.
