Check out our Valorant Agent Tier List where we have ranked every agent based on their utility and overall impact on the match.

Valorant’s meta has evolved as it has evolved into a truly competitive tactical shooter. Finding the proper character for you and your team is more difficult than ever before, with 17 agents to choose from. Fortunately, we’ve done the research for you and created this helpful Valorant Agent tier list. You can also check out our Outriders Class Tier List and Back 4 Blood Cleaner Tier List.

So, if you’re undecided about which agent to focus on or how much time you should devote to grinding, we’re here to help. We’ve spent hundreds of hours calculating the data so you don’t have to. While the Valorant agents are listed in order of effectiveness, it’s crucial to note that none of them are unplayable. Riot Games has done an excellent job of balancing its characters’ skills, and the fact that all guns are shared helps. You should be able to play with any agent you like as long as your economy is healthy.

Valorant Agent Tier List

There are a total of 17 Agents in Valorant after the addition of Chamber. The agents are divided into 4 categories – Sentinels, Duelists, Initiator, and Controller. Each Agent has different skills and utility to help them perform their role. Sentinels can hold down sites with their traps and walls and Initiators can give information regarding enemies and support the Duelists. The Duelist鈥檚 main role is to pick fights and be the main damage dealer of the team while the controls can place smokes and walls to block the line of sight. Here are the Valorant Agents ranked based on their utility and impact on the overall game.

SJett, Sova, Skye, Killjoy
AAstra, Viper, Cypher, Kay/O, Sage
BPheonix, Chamber, Reyna, Omen, Breach
CYoru, Brimstone, Raze

S Tier

Jett

Jett’s rapid moves and vertical ability can catch players off guard. If you hold space, the Korean duelist can throw herself upwards or forwards, and her passive allows her to glide rather than fall to the ground. Jett has shown to be a deadly entry fragger in the hands of professional and high-level players, provided your aim is on point, of course.

Sova

Sova is an excellent support agent. Playing Sova is an art, with recon abilities and the potential to deal a little damage. So, if you want to play him, you’ll need to be aware of your angles. Sova’s recon arrows are excellent for collecting information, but only if you know where to place them.

Skye

Skye’s build is good for gathering information, but only if you have a team that will act on it. Skye used to be near the bottom of our Valorant tier list, but she’s gotten a lot stronger since she’s been buffed. She can provide flashes more quickly now that she can re-equip her weapon faster after utilising her powers, making her a fantastic initiator.

Killjoy

Killjoy is currently the sole Sentinel Agent with significant damage-dealing abilities. Her skills, like Cypher’s, aid teams in scouting for opponents. When it comes to her ultimate, if done correctly, it can almost assure a team victory postplant.

A Tier

Astra

Astra is the Agent with some of the roster’s highest damage potential. Players will need a lot of insight to forecast how the game will proceed in order for her Nebula and Dissipate abilities to pay off. Failure to do so will result in Star placements that are ineffective. As a result, she’s one of the most challenging Agents to master.

Viper

After a few updates, Viper has soared up the ranks, resulting in more and more online playing. On the majority of Valorant maps, she can lock down a site by herself in a matter of seconds, despite the fact that she is still largely situational. Viper is a meta agent, but she needs a competent team to really realise the benefits of her capabilities, which is why she’s a little difficult to grasp.

Cypher

For information collecting, Cypher is the best option. Players can use his Spycam ability to keep an eye on various areas of the map. However, this, as well as his Trapwire ability, has been nerfed since then.

Kay/O

KAY/O is a new Agent in the game, but he’s already causing a stir. His ultimate is a game-changer on its own. When it’s turned on, it prohibits any players within range from using their skills. Apart from that, KAY/O’s other abilities offer a nice balance of damage and assistance, making him a well-rounded Agent.

Sage

Sage is Valorant’s closest equivalent to a support character. During a round, she can heal herself or others, thereby giving everyone on the field a little extra health. Her ultimate ability also allows her to resurrect a teammate, making her a crucial component of any Valorant team.

B Tier

Phoenix

Phoenix is a great choice for gamers that want to do a lot of damage without taking too many risks. His Run It Back ability allows players to act wildly for 10 seconds before respawning at full health. However, an Agent with smokes, such as Omen, is required to supplement his talents. Otherwise, late in the game, his attacks will be rather easy to avoid.

Chamber

Chamber is the latest agent in Valorant. With his Headhunterability he can have a huge impact on pistol rounds. His traps and ability to slow down an area can synergize well with Molotovs of different agents. And his Ultimate can give a free Sniper rifle in tricky situations. You just have to hit that shot!

Reyna

Reyna’s ability to disrupt opponent teams and shift the flow of a battle is fantastic. The rest of her abilities, as well as her general usefulness, are contingent on her obtaining kills. As a result, Reyna is particularly well-suited to players that excel at taking down opponents.

Omen

Omen possesses powerful abilities, but his ability to be unpredictable is crucial. Standard Omen plays will be familiar to experienced players, so if you want to get an advantage over your opponents, you’ll need to get clever. His smokes are useful, and his paranoia ability is excellent for blinding enemies lurking around corners.

Breach

Breach has a multitude of wall through abilities, which makes him an appealing candidate. However, his performance demands a high level of team communication. So, unless you’re playing with your friends, he’s not a good choice.

C Tier

Yoru

Yoru’s Bait and Stun abilities are great for defying the enemy team’s assumptions and taking advantage of their uncertainty. However, because his ultimate is so tough to execute effectively in ranked matches, he isn’t worth considering.

Brimstone

Brimstone smokes can be effective, but his equipment ultimately falls short when compared to the other agents available. As a result, this agent has dropped out of the meta, and we don’t expect him to return until Riot has rebalanced his kit.

Raze

In the past, Valorant fans have complained about Raze’s abilities being excessively damage-focused, which is a departure from the game’s premise of abilities coming second to guns. Since her release, Riot Games has nerfed her a little, so she’s no longer as powerful as she once was. That said, she’s a really simple agent to pick up, making it much easier to master her abilities.

This was our Valorant Agent Tier List. While each agent is ranked based in the current meta and use in the game, this list is based purely on personal opinion. You should choose the agents based on your team composition and playstyle. If you are a passive player, choose a sentinel and play off of your utility. If you like making flash plays and want to be the next TenZ, then go for Raze or Jett.
