Looking for VCT Challengers Open Qualifiers 2023 details? This article will tell you everything about it so read it till the end.

The NA Challengers league in Valorant is a tier below the VCT Americas league and features teams that have formed a partnership with Riot Games. Those who succeed in this league will have the opportunity to participate in the Challengers Ascension and potentially earn a spot in the partnered league.

To qualify for the NA Challengers league, teams must be invited or work their way through a grueling tournament featuring over 250 professional, amateur, and free-agent teams. Here is everything you need to know about the VCT Challengers Open Qualifiers 2023.

VCT Challengers Open Qualifiers 2023

The new league format for Valorant Champions Tour in North America bears resemblance to the tournaments that were held in 2021 and 2022, where teams had to fight their way through an open qualifier to secure a spot in the Challengers tournament and subsequently qualify for international competitions. However, the new league system streamlines the process, allowing teams to only have to qualify for the Challengers league before competing in another open event, making the competition even more fierce.

How to Watch VCT Challengers Open Qualifiers 2023

While some matches will be streamed on the Knights Arena Twitch channel, many of them will not be broadcasted, causing some fans to be directed to the tournament page to follow their favorite teams. The tournament page indicates that most of the streaming attention will be given to the teams in the upper bracket, while many of the lower bracket matches will not be streamed. This way fans can expect the broadcast will prioritize the top teams in the competition.

Format

The VCT Challengers Open Qualifiers will be held in two tournaments. A number of teams will be directly invited to participate in the league, while the remaining spots will be decided through the Open Qualifier series. The top four teams from Open Qualifier 1 and the top two from Open Qualifier 2 will be included in the final roster for the 2023 season, along with the invited teams.

The tournament will follow a best-of-three, single-elimination format until teams reach the Round 32 brackets, at which point the bracket will be reseeded for the main event. The main event will feature a double-elimination bracket with upper and lower brackets. A VCT Istanbul map pool will be used for the tournament, and Patch 5.12 will be used for the first two weeks of the Challengers League.
