The world No. 13 Cameron Norrie locks horns with lucky loser Pedro Cachin in the round of 32 of the Vienna Open.
Cameron Norrie
The British No. 1 has put in some decent performances this season. After a disastrous Australian Open campaign where he lost in the first round in straight sets to Sebastian Korda, Norrie turned things around in the Delray Beach Open, as he won the title with a win against Reilly Opelka in the final. Norrie reached his second consecutive final on the tour on the back of impressive performances at the Mexican Open. He eventually lost to the legendary Rafael Nadal. Norrie won his second title this season at the Lyon Open after getting the better of Alex Molcan in the final.
He made it to the semi-finals in Wimbledon and the finals in the Los Cabos Open. In Cincinnati, he also reached the semis in Cincinnati. At the recently concluded Stockholm Open, Norrie lost in the quarter-finals against Holger Rune.
Pedro Cachin
The 27-year-old has had a successful season so far at the Challenger level. He has bagged four titles in the Challenger events this year. He also made it to the third round of the US Open and the second round at the French Open for the first time in his career.
Cachin faced Alejandro Tabilo in his first qualifying match. The closely-contested encounter ended 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 in favor of the Argentine. In the second qualifier, Cachin went down to Quentin Halys in an interesting three-set affair.
Head-to-Head and Prediction
The head-to-head scoreline currently stands at 1-0 in favor of Pedro Cachin. He defeated Norrie in straight sets in the 2019 Cordoba Open.
Prediction: Cameron Norrie to win in straight sets.
