Was Jules Bianchi related to Charles Leclerc?

Fans on social media have been curious to know whether the late Jules Bianchi was related to current Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.

Jules Bianchi tragically passed away as a consequence of a terrible accident that happened during the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix. He died 9 months after his accident, on July 17, 2015, due to injuries sustained from the crash.

Many F1 fanatics believed that the Frenchman would be a highly successful driver in the top division of motorsport. It was anticipated that Bianchi would ultimately join the Ferrari squad because he was one of the most talented drivers of his generation.

Jules Bianchi also competed in racing in Formula Renault 3.5, GP2, and Formula Three, where he was a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. In 2012, Jules Bianchi made his Formula One debut for Sahara Force India as a practice driver. He died on July 17, 2015, from injuries sustained at the time of his accident in Suzuka nine months earlier. His death made him the first Formula One driver to be killed by injuries sustained during a Grand Prix since Ayrton Senna in 1994

Jules Bianchi was often regarded as Charles Leclerc’s “godfather.” because he served as the mentor he needed and helped him in his career.

On the other hand, Leclerc is a racing driver from Monaco. He is now a Formula One driver for Scuderia Ferrari, where his contract runs through the 2024 season. In 2018, Leclerc made his Formula One debut for Sauber, a Ferrari-affiliated team, where he was a student at the Ferrari Driver Academy.

The dads of Bianchi and Leclerc were close friends as well. Due to their closeness, these two athletic families are frequently misconstrued as being one large family. Leclerc had previously said the following about his bond with Bianchi: “I think it’s clear to the eyes of everyone who knows this sport: Jules had an exceptional talent. It’s also thanks to him I’m here today we grew up together. He was a few years older, my older brother’s best friend. Our fathers were best friends too.”

Leclerc continued, “As a result, our families have been and still are close. And yes, I did pick up a lot from him because of how much he supported me, particularly during my early years of karting. He has all the necessary skills to excel in Formula One”.

There isn’t much information on how Jules Bianchi got to be Leclerc’s godfather, but it’s widely believed that it all started with their relationship when they were kids.
