Khabib Nurmagomedov might not be done with the UFC but the chances of Georges St-Pierre (GSP) taking him on are over

Khabib Nurmagomedov has no plans to fight Georges St-Pierre (GSP) seem to be over. This came after Dana White opened up on his discussion with the current UFC Lightweight champion.

Khabib retired at 29-0 after defeating Justin Gaethje and keeping the title. However, White has now confirmed that Khabib could make a return if someone from UFC 257 impresses him.

Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker vs Michael Chandler are the two fights that could see Khabib make a return.

Khabib also praised Charles Oliveira and the Brazilian was more than ready to take on the champion.

However, the one fight on everyone’s mind for Khabib, for his return, was against GSP. GSP is one of the greatest MMA stars of all-time and still trains religiously. However, that fight seems to be off the cards for good.

No Khabib vs GSP super fight

The Schmo asked White during the press conferences in St-Pierre’s name ever came up in the discussion over Khabib’s return.

White confirmed that didn’t occur and went on to say that Khabib wasn’t keen on that fight. The UFC president also went on to say that GSP doesn’t seem to be interested either.

White seemed a little disappointed when making the statement. This fight could have been one of the biggest in UFC history.

Further, it would have been a fitting final fight for Khabib in his quest to finish at 30-0. GSP, for his part, has made a return from retirement in the past and another one could have been something big.

However, UFC fans will have to wait to see if Khabib does return. The two fights from UFC 257 will have a huge bearing on that and hopefully, someone does impress Khabib enough next week.
