James Harden is often known as one of the top overall players in the NBA, both when it comes to his prolific shooting and his incredible dribbling. Despite an injury-ridden last couple of years, Harden still retains his reputation for being one of the most talented attacking players to play in the NBA at the moment – and footage suggests that there is good reason for that notion.
Ever since his debut in the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers superstar created a reputation for himself as one of the toughest attackers to go up against – simply due to his footwork. Harden’s footwork and acceleration prowess make it an incredibly tough job to mark him anywhere near the paint, and if one does get too close to Harden – it might as well be time to say goodbye to their ankles.
After a tough last couple of years where Harden was riddled by a number of recurring injuries and also saw trade from the Brooklyn Nets – Harden started his first full season for the Sixers when he went up against the Boston Celtics in the first game of the season. Even though the game ended in a loss for the Sixers, one particular moment from the game went viral on Twitter.
One of Harden’s plays from the game where he broke Marcus Smart’s ankles in a humiliating fashion went viral on Twitter.
Harden had a great start to his season after he recorded more dribbles than anyone else on the Sixers team – but the one play that caught the most attention from social media was when he dropped Marcus Smart with a quick change of direction. The clip urged some fans to create a compilation of some of Harden’s best ankle breaking plays in his NBA career.
The video was an incredible show of Harden’s best ability which made him such a feared opponent in his Houston Rockets heydays. However, the Beard might just be back to his best shape and his best form this season with his 35-point performance against the Celtics, exciting his fans for an interesting season.
