Stephen Curry’s ‘night night’ celebration seems to have struck a chord with several sports figures across the world.

The most noteworthy incident occurred during the 2022 NBA finals between the Golden State Warriors vs. Boston Celtics in Game 6 during the fourth quarter. Curry’s jump shot gave the Warriors a 15-point lead with barely three minutes remaining. It was “Night Night.” It was a retort that was intended to calm angry Boston Celtics fans. The play led to one of the most electrifying buckets of the finals leading to one of the most stone-cold celebrations of all time. In order to signal the Celtics and their supporters that it was time for bed, Curry raised both of his palms to his head and made the sleeping gesture.

Steph Curry’s “Night Night” celebration has taken up the sports world. Everyone, from professional athletes to minor league players, has been copying the iconic celebration.

The list of players imitating the “night night” celebration is just getting longer. The latest addition to the list is an Uganda 7s’ rugby player Aaron Ofoyrwoth. He did the celebration after a touchdown while playing against the Sri Lankan team.

Ofoyrwoth playing for Uganda at Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022, scored a touchdown after an interception. Uganda ended up winning the game 38-19.
