Who is Malu Trevejo?
María was born in Havana to a Cuban mother and a Spaniard father and moved to Madrid with them at a young age. She developed a passion for acting and belly dancing, uploading videos of her performances online. At 13, she moved to Miami and gained fame on Musical.ly/TikTok. At 14, she signed with In-Tu Linea and Universal Music Latin, and released “Luna Llena” in 2017, which amassed over 113 million views on YouTube.
In October 2020, Trevejo signed with new management and relocated to the Los Angeles area. On her 18th birthday, she created an OnlyFans account, which quickly gained a massive following.
In October 2021, Trevejo announced on social media that she had signed with Travis Scott’s record labels Cactus Jack Records and Atlantic Records. She released her new song “Complicado” featuring Luar La L under the label but was later dropped from Cactus Jack.

Why has she been arrested?
Malu Trevejo’s recent arrest for failing to attend a previous court hearing related to a non-moving traffic violation has added to her recent bout of legal issues. Four former employees sued the singer in January for alleged battery, defamation, and sexual misconduct, among other complaints.
The lawsuit alleged that the employees suffered from emotional, mental, physical, and sexual abuse during their employment, which ended between 2021 and 2022. Trevejo allegedly berated them with racial slurs, made sexual advances, and controlled their behaviour.
In March, one plaintiff dismissed their claims against the singer, but Trevejo’s attorney vowed to keep defending against the remaining plaintiffs. In another lawsuit, Trevejo sued Stephen Belafonte in January for fraud, theft, misappropriation, and breach of fiduciary duty, among other claims, alleging that he swindled her into signing a one-sided deal to represent her as her exclusive manager.
Belafonte allegedly misrepresented himself as a licensed talent agent and misappropriated funds. While Trevejo has not publicly commented on her recent arrest, her attorney has denied the allegations against her and vowed to defend her against the claims.
