West Ham Opinion: Why Everton Soares will be a superb fit at West Ham?

According to a report from Calciomercato, West Ham are interested in signing Gremio forward Everton Soares this summer. The likes of AS Roma, AC Milan and Manchester United also remain keen on the Brazilian.

Everton Soares, 23, scored 16 goals for Gremio in the 2018 campaign and succeeded in forcing his way into Tite’s Brazil as a result. He has won four caps for Brazil as of now, with the most recent coming in the international break as a substitute against Panama.

With the 23-year-old forward already on the radar of some European clubs, West Ham need to start working on the deal if they are really interested in signing him this summer.

Credit to Pellegrini for turning the Hammers’ fortunes around as West Ham endured the worst start by losing their first four league games.

Now, Pellegrini’s focus should turn towards planning for the 2019/20 campaign. The Irons have a really good squad but there are a couple of areas Pellegrini needs to address in the transfer window.

And even if the attack isn’t the one, signing a forward won’t do much harm as Pellegrini needs to build a squad capable of challenging the Premier League’s Big Six.

Everton Soares would fit the bill perfectly at the London Stadium, owing to his profile and quality. A technically-gifted and tactically versatile attacker, the 23-year-old can play anywhere across the front-line. He is an expert dribbler, capable of exploiting the little spaces behind the defences to destroy the opposition.

The four-cap Brazil international’s pace, direct running, creativity and dribbling skills would add an extra dimension to West Ham’s attack. His goalscoring return also shows that he can be clinical in the box.

Everton also operates with a lot of flair and is an extremely composed finisher in front of goal. Truly, he has the potential to be a world class player in the coming years.

Conclusion

The 5ft 9in ace has all the attributes to flourish under Pellegrini. At 23, Everton certainly has his best years ahead of him and his link-up with compatriot Felipe Anderson would make West Ham’s attack a formidable one.

Pellegrini could be the right manager to unlock Everton’s top potential and hence, West Ham should look at bringing the nippy Brazilian to the English top-flight this summer.
