Find out what we can expect from F1 in 2022 with its new season
After a season like no other in 2021, F1 is set to return in March with a new season. It is believed that F1 2022 will prove to be a season that shapes the sport F1 moving forward. With new cars and new rules, fans are eagerly waiting to see F1 return for its 2022 season.
The 2022 season already has a lot of hype around it, and with several changes in the teams, the season will definitely get a lot more exciting. With that being said, let’s take a look at what we can expect from F1’s upcoming season.
1. Ferrari’s rebirth
The changes in cars and rules for the 2022 season are expected to bring a new life to Ferrari’s F1 team. Ferrari has not tasted a lot of success in recent years. With a historic past, Ferrari always carries high hopes with them and the 2022 season can prove a vital year that brings success back to the Italian team. Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will also have to be on their best for 2022. It will be interesting to see how Ferrari does in the upcoming season.
2. Change of Guard in F1 2022 for Verstappen and Hamilton
Max Verstappen was successful in restricting Lewis Hamilton from winning his eighth world championship. Moreover, Verstappen looked much more dominating in the early part of the 2021 season. The Dutch is considered to be Hamilton’s successor and rightfully so. The Brit has dominated the sport of F1 over the past decade and it seems like someone else’s time to take over the throne. And there is no better candidate than Verstappen to do so.
However, Hamilton cannot be undermined. With a rather unfair ending to the 2021 F1 season, the Brit will certainly come back all guns blazing in the 2022 season. The championship race will most certainly become much more interesting and fans can expect yet another cracking season in the Hamilton vs. Verstappen rivalry.
3. Much more competitive on track
As mentioned earlier, the 2022 season is coming in with changes in the cars and rules. The F1 car for the new season is designed by keeping overtaking in mind. The new aerodynamics of the car will reduce the turbulent air that affects the chasing which will help the chasing car to maintain momentum. This will help the chasing cars a lot as overtaking will become easier. As a result, the races will become much more competitive on the track. This can really play a vital role in deciding the championship and we might see the smaller teams performing much better and even challenge the big teams.
